i went to Kerachut Beach with Meilin, Zheng Jun & Jing Yao. it was my second time went to the beach. but this time was a bit different..it had became one of the National Park of Malaysia. the turtle feeding center is the main attraction of the beach.
we went to take breakfast at a market nearby Lin's house. & we reach the national park ticket office, at around 10 something.
before we reached the beach, we have to hike across a jungle with 2920 meters. the process was exhausted in the way going to the beach as there was so many stairs needed to climb. we took break a lot. resting, taking pictures, & even having black chocolate. indeed, the breaking times were absolutely important to us, to keep us more energetic to go on the journey.

oh yeah, we saw 2 tourists passed by the bridge too. they were also on their way to the beach.
but most special thing was they hike with leg naked. cool~ we tried to follow their pace but we lose them.
there was also a Dug-Out Hill. it is a small path dug by human hand, & also with help of buffalow.
the path was narrow, but it is well made by stairs.

we explored several trees too. one of them is "Pandan tree". we usually plant this kind of tree at home and use it to cook dessert such like sweet potato soup, or jelly.. but that pandan tree we saw was so so tall & huge, the leaves were longer & broader. conclusion? in the first time we saw it, it smells like pandan tree. quite... second time? it "still" the tree we knew.. third, forth, fifth..... who know? haha..

after a long time of hiking & struggling, finally managed to reach the beach at around 1pm! bright sun, blue sea, blue sky... we took off sport shoes and put in slippers. the first step on the sand was a big surprise, ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so so HOT!!! so we tried to walk faster headed to the turtle feeding center. but, no officer wanna serve us. after a few minutes, a malay guy walked out from the office. he led us to a small vat under a tree. he opened the cover, we can clearly saw baby turtles inside it. they cover the vat to avoid rain pouring into the seawater.
the small lives greeting us, swimming toward us. so cute, adorable & amazing. we couldn't wait to take this chance to take photo with them. but, the malay guy not allowing us to do so. he was so lazy & unwilling to serve us too. so what can we do? we just waiting for chances... two officers came to patrol the beach. they headed to us, one of them took out one baby turtle and put on his hand. he showed us how to hold it. gently, softly and properly... the turtle stayed on his hand steadily. argh, we were so so excited as we know, "OUR CHANCE IS COMING~!!!" without consideration, one by one, we took out the turtle & put them on our hands. though we were not so good in holding the turtles, but eventually we took several photos with them...
the officer also shared his knowledge regarding the turtle with us. the type of those baby turtles are called Green Turtle (penyu agar in malay) but we were so curious, why those baby turtles are black in colour. ahah, the baby turtles will grow up and transform into green turtles. those turtles will become very huge until around 1 to 2 meters.. haha, so these turtle will become Ninja Turtle in future~~~ we hope so, wish they grow up happily & safely under the sea~
the turtle feeding center is built to protect the baby turtle to avoid big fish and eagle, as they are so so weak to survive when they are small. the center keeps them in the vat for around 8 days then only feeds them with jellyfish. after they are big enough, the center officer will set them free to the ocean. if they feed the baby turtles for too long time, the turtles can't survive when they go back to the ocean..
we were so so so & so LUCKY to met the officer~ we learned much from him.
terima kasih!

to be continued...^^
